Literacy connections – Bram Stoker’s famous Dracula features in the town, with the vampire first coming ashore here from Transylvania in the guise of a black dog- have inspired the world famous Goth Festival, which now takes place twice a year, in spring time and near Hallowe’en.

The harbour on the South side, golden beaches south and north bays, donkey rides, amusements. Scarborough Spa – offering events throughout the year, with new café serving delicious food and drinks.
A recommendation is a stop at the Harbour Bar to savour one of their famous ice creams is a must.
Scarborough offers a variety of shops in the town centre and good local restaurants.
Why not take a walk round the Marine drive to the North bay. Visit Peasholme Park, I bet you can’t resist a ride on a swan round the boating lake!
Not forgetting keeping an eye on- what’s on- at the Open Air Theatre in Scarborough.
If you still have time the mini golf round is great fun.
For those animal lovers a visit to the sea life centre is an interesting day spent with family and friends.
